iPhone 13 Pro Max Review - Unparalleled Performance, Amazing Camera
The iPhone 12 was launched not long ago,
but the latest rumors about the iPhone 13 Pro Max have already generated a lot of excitement among tech enthusiasts.
The camera system has been upgraded, there are new colors, and most notably, the 120Hz display with a smaller notch,
which is the main attraction of this year.
Elegant and Sleek Design, Vibrant Colors
The iPhone 12 series adopted a similar design language to the previous
year's iPhone 12, with flat, sleek edges and slightly curved corners, reminiscent of the iPhone 5 design. Therefore,
the iPhone 13 Pro Max, as well as the iPhone 13 series in general, will follow this design language.
A significant change on the Pro Max is the camera bump. Meanwhile, the front of the device is covered with a Ceramic Shield, a material that is harder than any other smartphone glass on the market, providing effective protection for the iPhone's display.
Elegant and Sleek Design, Vibrant Colors
In terms of materials, the iPhone 13 Pro Max still uses stainless steel, just like the previous generation. The back is also covered with a frosted glass layer that helps reduce fingerprints and smudges. Additionally, the phone is also water and dust resistant with an IP68 rating.
Regarding colors, the iPhone 13 Pro Max will be launched in various color options. Some notable colors include gold, silver, blue, black, and more.
Smaller Notch, 120Hz Refresh Rate Display
One of the anticipated features of the iPhone 13 Pro Max is the
smaller notch design. In addition to the 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display, the device will have a reduced
notch design, which increases the screen-to-body ratio. Of course, important components such as TrueDepth, Face ID,
and the front camera will remain in their original positions.
Smaller notch display with 120Hz refresh rate
Many sources indicate that the iPhone 13 Pro Max will enhance the image experience significantly through ProMotion, a feature that boosts the screen refresh rate to 120Hz. This will be the first iPhone with a high refresh rate of 120Hz, making motion smoother.
In addition, other supporting features such as Dolby Vision, True Tone, and a wide color gamut standard HDR10 will be integrated into the iPhone 13 Pro Max.
Upgraded camera, high-quality photography, professional video recording
Like any other new iPhone, the camera is always the most anticipated aspect for users, and the iPhone 13 Pro Max
will not disappoint. Following the design language for the body, the design language for the camera usually does not
change quickly. That's why this phone will still have a triple-lens camera arranged in a square module, placed in
the top left corner of the back of the device.
A significant change is the first sensor in the camera system. The device is equipped with an improved ultra-wide-angle camera with an f/1.8 aperture and a 6P lens. The current ultra-wide-angle camera on the iPhone 12 Pro Max has an f/2.4 aperture and a 5P lens, so the upgrade will greatly improve low-light photography.
The LiDAR sensor will still be present on the iPhone 13 Pro Max. However, Apple plans to bring this sensor to the entire iPhone 13 lineup and not exclusively for the Pro models. This is believed to provide the best augmented reality (AR) experience for all users.
Significant camera upgrade in both sensors and photography features
The selfie camera remains unchanged compared to the previous model. The iPhone 13 Pro Max may capture slightly wider-angle selfies, but most of the features in the selfie camera will remain the same as before. And features like selfie slow-motion, memoji, and animoji are also expected to be present, as many rumors suggest.
Upgraded processor, improved battery life
Like many new generations of iPhones, the processor is expected to be upgraded to a higher level with significant
performance improvements and 5G network support. In this case, the iPhone 13 Pro Max will feature the Apple A15
Bionic chip with various upgrades in both processing power and high-speed internet connectivity.
According to the manufacturer's announcement, this new generation A15 chip provides graphics performance up to 50% faster than other smartphones. Additionally, the 5G connectivity has also been significantly improved, along with intelligent data mode that reduces speed when not necessary to save power.
Upgraded processor performance, complete removal of the connection port
The iPhone 13 Pro Max will also be equipped with a larger capacity battery, extending usage time by about 2.5 hours compared to the previous generation. The device will also feature fast charging and wireless charging technology.
